The earth is full of small, virtually unnoticed creatuures; yet the ancient wise man Agur points out (in the old testament book of Proverbs) fiur inconspicious species possessing attractivee traits and using wisdom: the ant, the rock badger, the locust(grasshopper), and the spider (lizard). In the new testament, Jesus also commends birds (Matthew 6:26-27) for possessing great fait in the heavenly father.
1 They look very small, alot powerless when you pick them up; yet they are truly wise. They know when winter is coming so they take advantage of the summer by gathering all their food that will last them all through the cold and wet winter period. they also prepare their houses against cold and flood either by relocating or by blocking their doors from flood.
Is an ant's head too small? It has so many wisdom in it!
Next time, when you are having picnic you should make sure you patiently wait for the ants because, they will come for the crumbs and left overs.
Can you be so small and yet so hardworking? it is possible!
2 Although small in size and strength, they are united. Even a big bread can be carried away from the kitchen. Dont be surprise! Ants has its way of asking for help from its fellow ants and they happily come around to help. In their little strength, they keep on carrying their stuffs tiredlessly and continously till they get to their destination; a safe place,a well tidy place and a well arranged place.
If you are untidy and unclean,it could be you are not hardworking.
For us we can prepare our hearts over difficult times as winter could be to ants. The best preparation is to give your life and heart to Christ. Paul warns us in 2 corinthians 6:2 that ''now is the day of salvation.''Onced we are saved,we equip ourselves against the difficult and odd times in life by storing up God's word in our hearts and obey them(Psalm119:11) and also praying without ceasing (1 thessalonians 5:17)
As christians we must take every opportunity to be diligent, not lazy or sluggish. We need to tackle projects(like homework and housework)right away and not put them off.
'' Next time you see an ant, remember:winter is coming! the best time to prepare for tomorrow is today.''
